As in-house recruiters for a large Multinational Manufacturing Organisation based in West Yorkshire we are looking for an Estimator to join the costing team. The successful candidate will report to the Costing Manager within the Finance team. All work requires the need for continuous improvement and a high degree of numerate accuracy and a desire to work to set deadlines. The job holder will be an integral part of a small focused team.

Key Responsibilities
•Estimate product costs from specification and drawings by utilising Excel estimate forms. Contact and co-ordinate the request for cost information from related departments in a timely and increasingly urgent manner. Provide explanation of product estimates and obtain Manager's authorisation.
•Produce product estimates for approximately 70 projects per year for Radiators, Charge Air Coolers, Oil or Fuel Coolers, Condensers and modules for some or all the above parts.
•Improve, update and maintain on a regular basis the estimate templates for each product.
•Review estimates compared to production costs to identify any cost differences needing corrective action.
•Provide product cost figures and information to the Sales Department for Quality Assurance Meetings, tracking changes between updates.
•Amend/update estimate as a design evolves, requiring the need to produce a latest estimation of cost together with appropriate comparisons.
•To attend and support with any stock take activities.
•Maintain and create procedures where required.

Skills Required
•Relevant experience of working in a busy Finance Department within the manufacturing sector.
•Advanced Excel / Experience of Business Manufacturing System.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Ability to undertake a high level of activity.
•Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively and perform arithmetic accurately and quickly.
•Plan work to achieve deadlines.
•Strong communication skills
•Minimum of GCSE Maths and English, ideally educated to A Level standard or above.
Working Hours
•8:30 - 5:00 Mon - Thurs 8:30 - 1:30 Fri. Flexi-time of 30 minutes at either side of the core hours is available Mon - Thurs
