Background
My client is a global market-leading manufacturer of pumps, mixers, aerators, blowers. With a UK workforce of over 200 staff and Global turnover of circa 3 billion they now look to appoint a key position to develop sales within the wastewater and industrial market place across the Midlands.
The role
As regional sales manager you will be responsible for developing existing business and relationships throughout the municipal and non- municipal water and wastewater utilities. The route to market involves dealing direct with the wastewater industry while also dealing with the main contractors and through distribution. Although the majority of business is done through the wastewater industry this role will look to develop sales through the industrial market.
The candidate
The successful technical sales engineer will ideally be from a mechanical background and have a demonstrable sales track record within the process or wastewater industry. The position is across the Midlands with travel involved however is a home based position. Areas on patch therefore include Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield, Stafford, Peterborough, Cambridge and surrounding areas.
