RAW Adventure Manager

Super Camps' RAW Adventure camps are outdoor based, survival and bushcraft programs for children aged 8-13, running during the Easter and Summer school holidays. We're looking for individuals who can combine their creativity and passion for teaching children with in-depth knowledge about the outdoors, to deliver a thrilling adventure from the minute the children arrive at camp, through a structured and informative learning experience. For those appointed as RAW Adventure Managers, we have comprehensive training opportunities through our specialist expertise and trusted reputation as the UK's number 1 provider of school holiday childcare.

Supporting the Camp Manager, we're looking for a natural leader, skilled with managing and motivating staff and with the drive to continually engage with children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. The specially coordinated activities you'll be responsible for are designed to engage and inspire the young explorers of tomorrow!

Responsibilities:

Oversee outdoor and adventure activities, ensuring the RAW program is being carried out in accordance with the aims, ethos, and procedures detailed in company documentation.

To strengthen a small team of quality, enthusiastic staff to support and inspire a common goal; ensuring the children learn new skills to develop themselves, work within a team and make new friends!
Use your personal background and experience to bring the subject to life
With support and guidance from the Camp Manager, liaise with parents regarding the needs of their children and deliver feedback on any issues which arise in a confident and professional manner.
Setting up and packing up of camp equipment, kit management, and cleaning.
Lead by example, showing continual respect for the venue by ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and safety at all times

Ideal candidate requirements:

Will promote Super Camps' success, and strengthen our trusted, high quality reputation within the childcare industry.
Has a strong understanding and knowledge of, as well as experience with, safeguarding children
Previous management experience within a childcare/teaching/outdoor education environment.
Documented experience in leading groups of children of all ages independently with confidence.
Holds qualifications such as Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts/Guides, Forest School, Archery, Firelighting, Food Hygiene etc.
Holds a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid award

Selection and appointment process:

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a telephone interview
A Super Camps online introductory training programme must then be completed
Finally, candidates must attend a training day covering the RAW ethos, policies, procedures, and course content.
