An opportunity for a SAS Analyst to identify new opportunities and improvements in current practices across the whole Fraud department through inquisitive and innovative analysis.

Responsibilities

,Develop Fraud reports and complete thorough analysis to optimise our rule set for applications, transactions and payments.
,Ensure all fraud rules in operation are fit for purpose through the development of dynamic rule monitoring suites, and recalibrate or redevelop these rules when necessary.
,Specify and construct datasets from internal and third party data sources.
,Develop fraud rules and fraud reports using regression and decision tree logic.
,Fully document and present rule development process and impact analysis to Senior Management.
,Support the testing and delivery of changes to reports, rules and overall fraud strategy.
,Design and develop monitoring reports to ensure rules are performing as expected post-implementation.
,Adjust / recalibrate / redevelop fraud rules and monitoring reports when necessary.

Candidate Profile

,Hands-on experience performing statistical analysis on large datasets.
,Programming, database extraction and reporting experience.
,Working with / presenting to senior managers.
,Any experience within a fraud environment is advantageous but not essential.
,Honours degree (2:1 or better) in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or Computer Science.
,High level of numeracy, aptitude for talking numbers
,Clear, logical analytical approach to problem-solving
,Proficient in use of Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel.
,Proficient in Base SAS or other statistical programming languages.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, highly numerate analyst to develop further in a high performance Fraud team, where they will have a pivotal role in the development of fraud strategy.

The Fraud team offers an exceptional variety of analytical projects to work on spanning from the point of customer application through to transactions, as well as creating defences against new fraud threats.
