Category Trading Manager
As a Category Trading Manager you will be responsible for delivery of sales across all channels for a specific market, to gain market share by developing and delivering a 2-3 year trading strategy.

Description
The role of Category Trading Manager in Bath would -
- Achieve sales and profitability targets as agreed by the Senior Buyer
- Develop your category in line with market trends/customer requirements that deliver optimum commercial Develop a 2-3 year trading strategy utilising market and customer insights that delivers profitable sales.
- Lead the creation of category tactical plans and trading activity, including product nominations, POS and marketing.
- Work in collaboration with Suppliers and Buying Teams to deliver a profitable range and promotion strategy.
- Take action on any shortfalls in delivery of KPI's within the trading plan.
- Lead sales and trend analysis for budgeting and execution of the trading plan.
- Set availability and stock expectations within business parameters.
- Define required margin support alongside the Buying Teams.
- Track market insights and competitor pricing data.
- Identify customer needs using market data in order to build a customer focused trading plan.
- Use product knowledge to highlight trends and identify local market product requirements and opportunities.
- Set pricing model for all implemented products and ranges.
- Manage range changes including any required exit strategies.
- Creation of business case and validation of forecasts for all new ranges.
- Regular store and competitor visits to increase awareness and inform trading plan.
- Develop category processes along with the assistant team members.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to several areas of the business based on proposed range and promotion strategies.

The role of Category Trading Manager would require the following skills -
EXPERIENCE
* Retail trading experience
* Clear understanding of how to develop and deliver commercial concepts
* Customer focused
* Understanding of all sales channels
* Strategic sales management, understands seasonality, price perception
* Clear understanding of financial reporting
* Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel and PowerPoint
* Experience of leading and supporting and developing team
* Key presentation skills
* High deadline management skills
