Laboratory Test Technician (metallurgy)
Ilminster, Somerset
GBP8.94 to GBP9.79 per hour, Circa GBP17,000 to GBP19,000 per annum + benefits package
Laboratory Test Technician required within a high profile metal component manufacturer.
The role will be suited to those with a hands on knowledge of working with metals in a test environment, manufacturing backgrounds will be most ideally suited but any metal process or metal coatings environments will be considered.
The role will be a support function in the manufacturing and testing of prototype products for globally distributed precision machined components. Previous experience of working in a laboratory environment is preferred where you will have gained experience of lab test processes and systems. The testing machines include hardness and tensile testing, sinter powder analysis. For chemical analysis the methods include titration, Atomic Absorption and UV spectroscopy.
