Aircraft Maintenance Documentation Engineer - Welwyn Garden City - Aerospace
Our Client in Welwyn Garden City (Hertfordshire) requires an experienced Aircraft Engineer to further strength their team as a Technical Writer / Technical Author due to an increase in business.
The prime role of this Aircraft Engineer is to change and revise Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and other technical documentation related to aircraft repairs and retrofits.
The role will involve analysing complex engineering design changes to determine and generate the correct new maintenance instructions.
Likewise the role will involve giving feedback to design engineers on key information related to the maintainability of aircraft, in order to influence design changes at source.
Naturally this role would suit an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who is already familiar with this type of documentation.
The successful candidate will draw upon their existing knowledge and experience of Aircraft Maintenance to generate new documentation for use by the aircraft industry worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed analysis on design changes proposed by aircraft manufacturing companies related to upgrades, retrofits and repairs as well as maintenance.
Generate new Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and other types of aerospace technical documentation
Essential Skills:
3 years' experience in an Aircraft Maintenance role
Familiar with Aircraft Maintenance documentation
Proficiency in MS Word, to the level where you are able to revise and generate aircraft maintenance technical documentation
Qualifications:
Ideally a Degree in Engineering, but not essential
Salary range is GBP25k to GBP33K depending upon experience and qualifications
