Hub Coffee House is looking for an experienced Head of Food to work at our newly refurbished social enterprise, located in the busy and thriving Waterloo area of Central London. Our much-loved Hub Coffee House seeks to be a welcoming space for anyone and everyone and is at the heart of Oasis Hub Waterloo - a vibrant and diverse community, developing a diverse range of projects run by Oasis, which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community.

This is a new position at the Hub Coffee House and the successful applicant will work closely with the Manager to grow the business, as we look to expand our offering across the breakfast, brunch, lunch menus and evening events. The right person will thrive in this exciting role, having the opportunity to put their own stamp on products. Ideally, you will also have coffee experience. We are looking for that special someone who has industry experience with a passion for food and customer service.

As well as a passion for food, you will need:

A positive "can do" attitude, with a genuine interest in people and food trends.

Level 2 Food Safety and hygiene Certificate as a minimum.

Proven high quality customer service experience, illustrating inclusion of those of a diverse cultural background and those with special needs.

Experience and knowledge of caf?? operations, menu planning and costing, preparing and delivering food, cash handling, as well as Health & Safety regulations.

Proven reliability and confidence in leading staff, both paid and volunteer.

Ability to communicate fluently in spoken and written English.

To be calm under pressure, able to keep going to get the job done.

To be flexible, evening and weekend work will be required from time to time.
