Acorn Recruitment is seeking a CI (continuous improvement) Lead (ideally Italian speaking) for a global manufacturing organisation. The position will be based in their factory in North Bristol and the successful applicant will also travel to Italy to work in the facility there.

Main role

The CI Leader will play a critical role in providing direction for all matters related to Continuous Improvement (CI) and deploying and delivering strategic initiatives, policies and procedures in line with corporate guidelines.

Principal Accountabilities

* Lead / conduct Continuous Improvement / Kaizen workshops on sites
* Drive CI and Lean culture within the sites to achieve 'World Class' status in the whole organisation
* Engage and support co-workers by leading CI workshop and initiatives, coaching, training to contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement
* Deploy the main initiatives/priorities coming from AFEMEA Operations Excellence to improve performance on safety, quality, service, operations, etc.
* Facilitate the identification and the implementation of best practices as well as foster active exchange of best practices between the BU P&M and AFEMEA Operations
* Lead, contribute and deliver strategic initiatives and practices by ensuring plants are aligned
* Support Plant Managers and process owners in identifying their key issues and opportunities (project selection, outcome to be included in Annual Plan) and support/drive measurable business improvements through manufacturing and non-manufacturing projects.

Qualifications and Experience

* Experience in Operations Excellence / Continuous Improvement.
* Experience of successfully managing significant change / transformation projects within a manufacturing environment (ideally multi-sites).
* Extensive knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen etc.
* Degree in a science, technology or engineering subject preferred; advanced degree advantageous.
