Assistant Management Accountant - 1 year contract
Salary range: GBP26,784 (GBP30,307) GBP33,829
37 hours per week, 27 days annual leave, pension options, health care options

We need to recruit someone who can provide the right support and cover to our professional and well qualified finance team during a maternity leave period. Although this is only a one year contract you will have every opportunity to develop your financial skills and have exposure to all aspects of the finance function.
This position will ideally suit someone is who part qualified and is continuing their studies or you may have already achieved your financial qualifications and you want to broaden your experience in a different environment.
Your key role will be to assist in the production of the management accounts, working closely with budget holders (service managers), carrying out monthly review meetings with them to ensure they are managing their budgets effectively. So your ability to communicate well, assist managers to set realistic budgets and provide variance analysis and commentary will be essential if you are to be successful during your time with us.
This is a great opportunity to grow within the job and you can contribute in many ways in a friendly and professional environment. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager whilst providing direct support to the management accountant and stepping into their shoes when they are absent.
You need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, proactive and well organised, with great IT skills and the ability to work with the numbers and people to make it work effectively.
