Client Details
Our client is a new start up, focusing on environmentally-responsible products into the Retail/Food Service sectors. They have secured great funding and have credible, ambitious plans for growth. They now need someone to come in to head up the Supply Chain/Operations side of the business!
Description
The core of the business is to provide environmentally-sustainable, reusable products into the Retail and Food Service sectors. What does this mean in practice?
Firstly, that their own product is manufactured and sourced sustainably, in the UK - which it is!
Secondly, that the Supply Chain will be incredibly fast-moving. They need to provide the product - no room for poor availability! - and then manage the return, cleaning and re-delivery as well. So a lot of moving parts!
So the Supply Chain/Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Liaising with the contract manufacturer to ensure adequate supply and inventory
- Working closely with Sales to understand forward demand
- Run the logistics and reverse logistics functions - with a focus on speed, agility and exceptional service levels
- Manage the cleaning function - ensuring the products are ready to go back out to market as soon as possible
It is an absolutely critical role for the business, so they need a superstar!
Profile
The Supply Chain/Operations Manager will:
- Have a strong Supply Chain background, from within a very fast-moving/complex environment (examples include Food Delivery/Catering/Food Service, Consumer Electronics, Managed Laundry and 4PLs)
- Understand - and want to work in - a start up business environment (you will be the 5th person in the team!)
- Be autonomous, solutions-focused and willing to get stuck in
- Be able to spin a lot of different plates at once
- Have genuine passion for environmental sustainability
If this sounds like you, let me know ASAP!
Job Offer
The Supply Chain/Operations Manager will be based in London, and earn between GBP50k-GBP55k plus package.
