We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Management Accountant to join our busy Finance team.
The Role:
As Management Accountant, you will have responsibility for producing and developing monthly financial reports including P and L, balance sheet, cashflow and KPI's. You will need to demonstrate a wide commercial approach to understanding our business which includes the core operation of the running of the Zoo, including our Commercial Operations of Guest Experience, Catering and Retail, as well as others including Marketing.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant
- Have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience within a commercial environment
- Have experience of managing a team
- Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in producing reports
- Have the ability to engage and build strong working relationships with others, particularly senior managers
- Be an advanced user of accounting software packages and Microsoft Office packages including Excel
- Have extensive knowledge of UK GAAP, Charities SORP, Gift Aid and VAT
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
Experience of using Navision accounting software and Jet reports would be desirable for the role, as would some IT Systems knowledge.
Salary is GBP40,944.57 per annum working 40 hours per week, working Monday - Friday. In addition we offer a range of amazing benefits which can be found on the Chester Zoo careers page.
