I am currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer/Electrician to work on behalf of a multinational facilities management company.
The position would involve working on site at HMP Bedford to maintain prison building and equipment including security items in a safe manner.
Duties:
* Undertake electrical installations, inspection testing, commissioning and repairs to equipment
* Ensure allocated, planned maintenance and small repairs are carried out
* Undertake survey inspections including in confined spaces and at height recording all work and completing associated registers/logs
* Act as a technical specialist advising on regulations when required
* Carry out project work including refurbishment of areas within the estate
* Escort and supervise technical contractors
The Suitable Candidate:
* Must hold a vocational qualification at Level 2 as an electrician or equivalent
* Will have previous experience working in a similar working environment or facilities management role would be advantageous
Working Hours:
* Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
* Saturday AM every 1 in 4 weeks
Salary:
* GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 (depending on experience)
