Gi Group are currently recruiting for 2 Production Team Leaders for our Automotive Manufacturing client in the Seacroft area of Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing company who are investing a hug amount in the area. For the right candidate there are excellent chances to progress.

The main purpose of the role is to motivate team members so deadlines are met, work is completed in a productive manner, maintaining the highest quality standards, and issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. Success in the Team Leader role may provide the opportunity to transition into more senior managerial posts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Planning, setting and organising production work as required, ensuring customer demands are met
* Ensuring that standard operations are followed at all times
* Coordinating, attending and leading team briefings
* Promoting and driving continuous improvement to eliminate all forms of waste within your area, involving and engaging all team members
* Coaching and mentoring operators to ensure a multi-skilled and flexible team
* Building strong internal customer relationships
* Recording and reporting of production data (including output, quality and downtime) and improvement activities
* Assisting department managers where necessary
* Ensuring all activity abides by Health and Safety rules and actively participating in the investigation and management of safety risks
* Monitoring and managing quality performance within your area ensuring all checks are being carried out in a timely manner
* Supervising colleagues to ensure sufficient manpower is in place to meet customer demand
* Ensuring that production runs at expected levels of output and quality, taking actions should performance deviate
* Actively searching for ways to improve production output and plant productivity
* Conducting return to work interviews and promoting well-being in your team
* Carrying out appraisals and reviewing the training requirements of your team

Salary for this role is dependant on experience but our client is offering a competitive package.
