The Apprenticeships team have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Workplace Trainer delivering new apprenticeships to Team Leaders and Operational Managers within a variety of industries.
With the Apprenticeship Levy coming into place, we have a growing need to provide apprenticeships within the workplace for employees that are working at or towards Management Level.
The local industry is thriving and the number of Apprentices at Team Leader and Operational Level within the workplace is growing rapidly. This is an area of continued growth and as such requires an inspirational and meticulous individual to visit Apprentices within the workplace.
This role offers the opportunity to develop effective working relationships with employers and build credibility within our Apprenticeship delivery. You will work in partnership with the employer to design an effective programme of learning for the Apprentice that ensures their success and knowledge of the workplace requirements.
As a Workplace Trainer, you will also support the College with Work Placements ensuring that suitable placements are established for learners that provide practical experience.
As the successful candidate for the position of Workplace Trainer: Leadership and Management, you will possess the following essential knowledge, skills and experience;
* Qualified to level 4 or higher in sector
* Have strong vocational experience and/or occupational competence in the subjects taught and assessed
* Assess/train creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of students and be willing to explore new learning strategies
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
* Good organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines
* Computer literate, to level 2, and willing to improve their IT skills
* Good English and maths skills, to level 2, and be willing to continuously improve these
* Excellent Communication both verbally and in writing
