Description:
Client is the leading global business services provider focused on modular space, secure portable storage solutions, and work force accommodation management with revenues of approximately $1.8 billion, Headquartered in Baltimore, client has operations in 37 countries with a fleet of approximately 303,000 units.
Purpose:
Provide technical expertise to regional depot network, key account area sales teams and Executive Leadership Team. Manage team of designers. Chair design team meetings, liaising with internal and external clients, end users and design consultants. Promote product development within the Elliott Hire division. Assist in the development & management of an asset database
Operational Roles and Responsibilities
Manage team of three CAD Designers to provide sales plans and working drawings for all non-standard projects.
Manage and refine library of standard Elliott products ensuring they align with agreed Company goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance of all Elliott hire products with applicable regulations and provide expert advice to internal and external clients.
Main Tasks
Manage resource levels to support work winning teams providing technical expertise and advice to internal and external clients.
Attend meetings with internal and external clients and suppliers.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable Regulations, Codes and Standards.
Co-ordinate design process, working with a variety of specialist consultants including but not limited to:
Structural Engineers.
Mechanical Designers.
Electrical Designers.
Architects.
Technical lead within the client standardisation process.
Lead the team providing support and mentoring to optimise employee satisfaction and development whilst meeting business targets.
Create and maintain Company asset database working closely with fleet standards team.
Provide technical expertise to investigate and resolve issues, identify areas for improvement using tools such as root cause analysis.
Support the release of 360° Product offerings.
Provide onsite training to existing and new employees.
Participate in the development of new product working with colleagues in the UK.
Represent Elliott at MPBA meetings and seminars
Key factors for success (short-term, mid-term and long-term)
Success in 6 months will include:
Familiarisation of all hire fleet products.
Effectively manage the resource levels to support business need
Active involvement in the standardisation process
Success in 1 year will include:
Completion of the client Standardisation process
Demonstrable progress in asset database project
Implement 3D modelling and visualisation using Autodesk Revit
