some 54,500 people and delivering more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries every year.
We have full time permanent positions available within our UK Bus Engineering team.
Our engineers are fundamental to the smooth operation of the business. You will provide engineering support to depots and drive continuous improvement. You will actively promote high standards in all aspects of the engineering facilities including vehicle safety maintenance, inspection, work quality and vehicle cleanliness. The central Engineering team support depots nationally therefore there is a requirement to be flexible to work from any location within the UK Bus network.
Maintenance and repair of passenger vehicles to the highest standards, within strict turnaround times; the ability to promptly diagnose and repair faults to ensure the delivery of service is maintained.
- Maintenance of Fleet. Ensure scheduled maintenance checks are carried out in a timely fashion, including MOT's and servicing.
- Repairs - Ensure repairs are carried out promptly and to high standard to prevent recurrence of fault. Diagnostics and Fault-Finding
- Clearing defects found on inspection. Ability to pinpoint quickly and accurately faults and take action to rectify.
Ideally we are looking for candidates with an appropriate engineering qualification as well as:
- Previous experience of adherence to VOSA / Department of Transport standards.
- Previous experience of maintenance / repair of HGV's / PCV's.
- Strong Communication and report writing skills
- Eligible to work in the UK
GBP28,280 per annum plus benefits. As part of the team, when required to work away you will receive a 15% increase to basic salary, with travel and accommodation expenses paid.
