Financial Controller

Our client is an entrepreneurial B2B business operating in a niche sector who are looking for a Qualified Accountant, either ACA / ACCA / ACMA to join them as a hands on Financial Controller. The role will report to the CEO and will combine both hands on accounting with commercial financial modelling. You will be responsible for financial strategy, reporting, financial controls and risk management. About the role•Responsible for overseeing production and analysis of year-end financial accounts; liaising with the company's auditors,•Overseeing preparation of P&L, Balance sheet and cash flows on a monthly basis for Board and investor purposes.•Ensuring lodgement of company's accounts and annual returns to Company's House on a periodic basis.•Responsible for reviewing, updating and implementing internal accounting systems and introducing new systems and controls where appropriate.•Overseeing and monitoring all company expenditure and where appropriate making recommendations to individuals and teams responsible for budgets.•Preparation and verification of Management Information About you•An ability to build strong collaborative relationships•Good analytical, interpersonal leadership and communication skills•Excellent excel modelling skills•Proven learning ability with a keen desire to support the learning of others.•Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis•Minimum of 2 to 3 years post qualified experience some of which must have been gained in commerce and industry The Financial Controller will be expected to take a hands on role within a small finance team. This role would suit an ambitious financial accountant or financial controller who is looking to develop into a Finance Director.
