Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager - Swindon to £60,000 + bens d.o.e.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, you will work with the senior management team to ensure the company's procurement, estimating and commercial contracts with clients are rigorously costed and controlled and ensure all pricing is accurate and subject to the budgetary controls of the business. Responsibilities include:

• evaluation of tenders / bids / proposals for material / equipment suppliers
• estimating, costing, pricing and commercial responses to client opportunities
• project pricing, monitoring and review in line with forecast and budgets
• development of purchasing and supply chain initiatives to improve costs
• supporting delivery of projects to client, budget and programme requirements

Our client provides construction, fit-out, project design, product and support services to some of the most well-known retail and leisure brands throughout the UK and Europe.

The Person

As Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, you will have previous experience in a commercial / estimating / purchasing / pricing / contracts role, preferably with specific knowledge of the construction, fit-out, shopfitting, project environment - experience to include:

• the ability to read and interpret working drawings
• understanding of materials and services cost control systems
• excellent analytical / commercial / financial / estimating / pricing skills
• advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet production and analysis
