We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Capital Development Administrator to join us, providing secretarial and administrative support to our busy Capital Development Team.
The role:
- Providing a full and extensive secretarial and administrative service to our Capital Development team
- Being the first point of contact for the team, and overseeing all enquiries to the office
- Responsibility for the production of key management reports on behalf of the Capital Development team, including the collection and analysis of information to inform decision making
- Producing and updating quality assurance documentation across the department
- Responsibility for maintaining and developing existing specialist administrative systems and processes, along with interpreting and generating standard reports
- Providing administrative support for financial reporting, setting up new suppliers, creating purchase orders and processing invoices
- Maintaining a database of consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Providing administrative support in procurement and tendering of projects
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant administrative qualification at minimum of NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience of working in an administrative role, and of financial administration
- Experience of collecting and providing analysis of financial data
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
- An understanding of quality assurance policies and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently and effectively with senior managers, both verbally and via written communications
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to respond to enquiries in a tactful and professional manner
Experience of working within a commercial environment would also be desirable.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.
The salary for this position is £21,866.96 per annum and in addition we offer a range of amazing benefits which can be found on the Chester Zoo careers page.
