Manufacturing Engineer - Pharmaceuticals

The successful applicant will be working as part of a technical team focused on marketed product support, new product introduction and continuous improvement activities for both Medical Device's and Pharmaceutical products.

The role will involve interaction with internal manufacturing, logistics and technical colleagues and some interaction with customers/suppliers.

You will be expected to set clear standards and lead by example when working with internal and external contacts.

Job Responsibilities

Partake in the technical activities of the manufacturing team to ensure technical development of products and manufacturing processes.
Further develop product and process understanding for the value stream manufacturing processes.
Provide ongoing technical support for the process and equipment, including training, troubleshooting, continuous improvement projects, annual product reviews, and documentation updates etc
Prepare and execute Validation Master Plans, Process Optimization Studies, Process Validation and Cleaning Validation documents

Knowledge & Skills

Experience in GMP within a contract manufacturing environment of the Medical Device and Drug Product industry
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt trained is preferred but not essential
Experience of New Product Introduction is desirable
Equipment qualification and process validation
Continuous Improvement techniques including Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma concepts
