Job title: Maintenance Operative (Electrical)

Based: Llandudno (covering North Wales & Cheshire area)

Ideally located in mid Wales area (Newtown, Welshpool, Aberystwyth or English border such as Oswestry)

A Maintenance Operative is required to join a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric property maintenance company. This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to be mobile within North Wales and Cheshire area.
Electrically biased engineer working within a mobile team undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) installation and reactive repair of electrical equipment, and basic building fabric across multiple contracts.
Working hours would be Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17.00 with a 30 minute lunch break (42.5 hours per week) excluding bank holidays. Travel time excluding the first and last 60 minutes of each day will be paid at single rate.

Main duties and responsibilities
• To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Contract Manager. Including, but not limited to fault finding, test repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment and other electrical duties in support of the rest of the team. Duties will also include carrying out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
• To close/update completed PPM tasks using Tablet based maintenance system.
• Ensure engineering standards are maintained in order to maximize the operations effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
• To co-ordinate specialist subcontractors requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
• To ensure Company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
• Ensure Company Environmental, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works
• To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-out/repairs as required, and requested by management.
• Attend site emergencies, outside normal working hours working as part of an on call team.

Essential skills

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
• Full Electrical qualifications to a minimum City & Guilds or equivalent (17th Edition).
• Full clean driving licence.
• Proactive approach to undertake all tasks required.
• Health & Safety awareness.

DBS criminal record checks may be required for some contracts and any offer of employment is based on successful completion of the same.

Preferred additional skills/Qualifications (not essential):
• IPAF
• PASMA
• PTS trained
• Confined space entry
