Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Schedule of Rates
Fareham, Hampshire 
Projects: Historic, Commercial Refurbishment Projects.
Salary £42,000 + Car + Package+ 25 days Holiday 
 
A respected refurbishment contractor with a reputation for undertaking small works projects up to the value of £ 600k is searching for a Estimator /Surveyor.

There work is varied over seeing maintenance and refurbishment projects for pub, restaurant, local councils, social housing and Portsmouth dockyard.
 
You will be joining a professional medium size contractor with a friendly working atmosphere. In order to fulfil this role the applicant is required to undertake/have the following:

Price projects from a schedule of rates.

Assessing & quoting for Building maintenance work.

Negotiating material & labour costs with suppliers & sub-contractors.

Developing program plans for all work.

Obtaining authorisation of interim & final account billing.

Ability to take off quantities from drawings/plans and measure up on site.
Ability to Estimate and build up working rates from first principles and have experience in pricing work form a schedule of rates.
Knowledge of construction methods and outputs.
Ability to undertake valuations of projects in order to secure interim payments.
Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
Relevant Qualifications (Ideally HND/HNC and above)
