LOCATION: Runcorn, Cheshire
JOB TITLE: Night Transport Planner/Controller
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP21,000 - GBP24,000 per annum
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Night shift - 9pm - 7am

THE ROLE: Due to exciting commercial success and expansion a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced controller to join their team and organise the driver's routes and jobs efficiently and productively.
Key Responsibilities to include:-
• Manage the efficient planning and recording of customer bookings in line with customer requirements
• Provide the interface between Customers, Service Partners and the internal Planning Team
• Liaise with Drivers and Service Partners to agree and schedule the transport requirements to fulfil customer bookings
• Keeping track of the drivers and making sure they are on route - checking in with them if necessary
THE CANDIDATE: You should be a highly organised, numerate and literate transport professional with an innate calmness and ability to handle pressure and work innovatively when required. The successful applicants should be able to make sound and reasoned decisions using data from multiple sources, and be an effective relationship builder.
Key experience essential for the role:
• Strong transport controlling experience is essential
• Solid geographic knowledge and understanding is also essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong IT Skills is required including a good knowledge of MS Office
