New opportunity not to be missed! Weir Minerals have an exciting opportunity for a Machinist to join our team based in Todmorden. We are offering the successful Machinist a competitive salary of £13.13 per hour and shift premium.

The Machinist Role

We are seeking skilled Machinists to operate both CNC vertical and horizontal turret lathes.  This involves machining a variety of components in Chrome Irons and SG Irons, with Fanuc Controls in a medium to heavy environment.

Operators will be expected to produce product to the specific requirements and to a high quality standard.  As well as able to edit Programs and tool setting.

Experience & Skills needed to become our Machinist:

- CNC Machining experience is essential

- Have heavy engineering background

- Experience of working with castings is desirable

- Possess a positive attitude towards modern manufacturing processes

- Willingness to adopt lean manufacturing principles

- Self motivated

- Focussed towards working within a devoted and continuously improving health and safety culture.

- Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines.

- Flexible to work night shift and work across all three shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)
