Our client, a global leader in information security, is looking for an EMEA Assistant Accountant to join their General Ledger Team on a nine month fixed-term contract.

The Role

As an EMEA Assistant Accountant, you will help the General Leader Team to provide financial reporting and accounting services for defined legal entities within the EMEA region.

In this exciting contract, you'll develop and enhance processes and procedures within the reporting function and work closely with colleagues to ensure the integrity of information.

Specifically, you will:

- Provide financial information for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Carry out multi-currency balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare the general ledger journal
- Help to prepare local statutory accounts
- Handle audit and tax related queries
- Occasionally visit our client's other locations within the EMEA region

About You

To be considered, you will need:

- To be a part qualified accountant OR qualified by experience
- Previous regional (EMEA) accounting experience gained within a small to medium business
- Experience of working within an IFRS compliant environment
- Previous experience of VAT and corporate tax requirements for UK and other EMEA countries
- A track record of reconciling complex foreign currency balance sheet reconciliations

Experience of working with a major accounting system such as Oracle or SAP would be highly beneficial, as would fluency in a second European language, in addition to English.

Our client is eager to hear from candidates who have held the title of Part-Qualified Accountant, Junior EMEA Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or General Ledger Clerk.
