Accountant - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. A very well-established accountancy practice is looking for an accomplished Accountant to join its growing team. This role is envisaged as a full-time position, however, candidates that would prefer part-time work (circa 30 hours per week) will also be considered.
In order to be suitable for this role, you MUST have previous experience of working for a small to medium sized accountancy practice and have demonstrable skills in preparing statutory accounts as well as corporation tax returns. There will be other elements to this role, including, but not limited to, VAT returns, Bookkeeping and payroll - essentially, all aspects of Accounting.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a personable accountant who is confident working on their own initiative. While ACCA or CIMA qualifications would be advantageous, applications are also welcome from QBE Accountants and Finalists too. You will be assisting in preparing statutory company accounts for sole traders, partnerships and medium sized businesses and preparing corporation tax returns. Not surprisingly, your attention to detail and accuracy will be first class and you will be comfortable communicating with clients, often at a senior level.
