An opportunity for a Junior/Trainee Mechanical Estimator to join a leading building services company has arisen. The company have been established for over 30 years and specialise in electrical, building, heating and plumbing systems for the Beds, Herts & Bucks region.
This opportunity would either suit an Estimator with a small degree of experience or a mechanical tradesperson (plumber/pipefitter) that is looking to change direction in their career. The opportunity would involve working with the existing Mechanical and Electrical contracts managers on projects from 50K – 2M.
About the Position
Prepare/assist in the estimates of M&E projects alongside the appropriate manager/estimator
Understand and review tendered enquiries
Attend site visits & meetings
Assist in the production of O&M manuals & possibly drawings
Vet subcontractors quotes
Desired Skills & Experience
Good working mechanical knowledge
Basic electrical knowledge
Experience working in an M&E contracting background
Formal plumbing or related qualification
Bedfordshire based
AutoCAD experience would be beneficial
