Gi Group are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Maintenance Manager on behalf of an expanding food manufacturers based in Scunthorpe. The Engineering Maintenance Manager will be responsible for a team of 5 engineers implementing systems which will improve downtime and efficiency. Reporting to the site manager, the role is permanent and based on days as its core hours. This roles major focus will be on improving performance and the successful candidate will be CI focused.

Role: Permanent

Hours: Days, some flexibility required

Salary: GBP45,000 to GBP50,000 (negotiable)

Key responsibilities:

- To lead a team of five engineering/maintenance staff
- Autonomy and control of the engineering and maintenance function
- Deliver significant improvements
- Competent budget management
- CAPEX projects
- Set up a PPM system in order to build up sufficient maintenance history to measure efficiency and performance. Reduce downtime and improve OEE.
- To ensure compliance to statutory requirements and legislation To achieve or exceed performance KPI's whilst maintaining compliance to the relevant H&S and quality procedures and policies
- On-site machinery includes high speed peeling and cooking lines, Multivac packing lines and retort cooking vessels with computer control capable of heat preservation

The ideal candidate will have:

- Engineering/ or relevant degree
- Experience of developing OEE, PPM and autonomous maintenance.
- Good knowledge of FMCG manufacturing processes. Experience of building teams
- A good understanding of Lean Tools and techniques including problem solving
