This market leading company is seeking a PhD Senior Analog/RF IC Design Engineer to work at their centre of excellence in Hampshire to develop and innovate cutting edge technology aimed at the mobile and IT portable arena. They are open to all experience levels from a PhD graduate with experience in this area, to a senior level engineer. They lead industry standards thus providing the next generation of user interfaces demanded by this rapidly growing market. An exciting opportunity exist in a semiconductor supplier that is developing marketing leading technology for the wireless and consumer arena. They are seeking a PhD Senior Analog/RF IC Design Engineer with proven architecture, IC design through to tape out for their NEW UK IC design centre.The engineer will play a key role in the Analog / RF IC Design group as the UK team develops. The PhD Senior Analog/RF IC Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and integration of Analogue IP in deep submicron CMOS processes from the initial choice of architecture to the final delivery of the product. The PhD Senior Analog/RF IC Design Engineer will develop the Analog specification from validation to characterisation of existing products as well as architectural exploration, simulation and then implementation of the design ensuring appropriate RTL and netlist creation. You will work closely with the systems team to define Analog/Digital interfaces, digital IC team as well as other engineering teams around the world such as layout to define the floorplan.Ideal candidates for the position of PhD Senior Analog/RF IC Design Engineer will have: Post graduate knowledge or practical experience across a range of basic and complex analogue IPs with a solid understanding of the designs details, tradeoffs, and alternatives of the following topics PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LNAs, Mixers and Filters.
