Our client, a market leading international multi-disciplinary Engineering and Environmental Consultancy which specialises in Rail, Utilities, Water, Energy and Environment, is seeking a talented Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their busy Cardiff office.

A successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a diverse team of dedicated and innovative engineers working on a variety of large and interesting projects, including Highway and Rail Schemes, Power Stations, Electrical and Gas Infrastructure, and Residential Developments, and are working for a wide selection of clients based throughout the UK, including the EDF Energy, National Grid, the Environment Agency, Transport for London, Network Rail, Wrap, The Canals and Rivers Trust and Housing Associations.

As a Geoenvironmental Engineer you will be required to:

* Provide technical input to land quality projects

* Phase 1 Desk Studies
* Ground Investigation Specifications
* Factual & Interpretative reports

* Manage a range of facets within the project

* Manage subcontractors
* Quality assurance
* Client Feedback

* Work closely with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
* Liaise with the Project Director and / or Manager and the client
* Mentor junior members

Candidates are required to have:

* A BSc in Geology, Environmental Science or a relevant discipline (MSc preferred)
* UK industry experience in a consultancy and/or contracting environment
* Excellent report writing skills
* Knowledge and/or Experience of:

* The design and supervision of site investigations
* Ground gas risk assessment
* Remediation options
* Controlled waters

* Good knowledge of land quality issues, including designing site investigations, human health, controlled waters and ground gas risk assessment, remediation options and knowledge of the legislative processes
* Project management experience
* CSCS Card
* H&S Qualification
* UK Driving License
