Panel Executive - MediaCell

Ipsos MORI has an exciting opportunity for a Panel Executive to work on a pioneering research solution which will shape the future of how television, radio and online activity is measured both in the UK and globally. Ipsos MORI is launching an exciting and ground breaking new study to measure and understand how much time people spend with different types of media (TV channels, radio stations, websites and apps), through passive measurement. Alongside our technology partners, we have developed an automated electronic media monitoring system (MediaCell+), which passively detects exposure to TV and radio broadcasts, as well as websites and apps, through installation of software on mobile, tablets, laptops and PCs. By recruiting a large, representative panel of people and asking them to install the software, we are able to provide a robust measurement of media consumption levels, which will be used by our client to help inform their ongoing media strategy.

Ipsos has begun to recruit a panel of respondents for this study. Reporting to the Project lead and working alongside another Panel Executive, the Panel Executive will be part of a team that is ultimately responsible for the quality and smooth running of this panel. Candidates should be able to demonstrate they are numerate, confident in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), willing to learn new software tools and comfortable working in a team. This new role will be a mix of carrying out daily processes, problem solving and communicating both internally with the Ipsos teams and externally with the panellists.

The key responsibilities for you and the team will include:

Working with a team to ensure that the panel meets size and quality targets
Quality control - daily / weekly analysis of participation and compliance data
Working with the team to monitor the compliance rules and recommend methods to improve participation
Manage the panellist communications - whether this is via our Ipsos CATI team, dealing with inbound hotline calls, creating panel communications, diagnosing and correcting routine technical issues, retrieval of devices from dropout panellists. These processes will be developed by the team and will comprise a significant proportion of the working day.
Incentive management
Setup and dispatch of new devices for panellists
Preparation and circulation of daily reports for the internal management team
Liaison with Ipsos IT specialists to solve more complex technical issues
Liaison with Ipsos recruitment sources and sample providers
Loading recruitment data to panel management database

Experience and Skills required:

Great team member
Able to problem-solve any issues in a logical manner
Good communication skills, spoken and written
Well organised with good attention to detail
Able to demonstrate self-motivation
Comfortable speaking on the phone to panel members
Comfortable with and interested in consumer mobile and computer technology

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to be part of a new and innovative approach to measuring people's media consumption in the UK.
