Service Engineer, Electrically-biased
Job type: Permanent
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Full-time (will involve travelling and staying away overnight)
Hourly rate: Up to GBP13 per hour, experience dependent
The role:
To provide reactive repair and planned preventative maintenance for the full range of company products,
Carrying out work on the customer premises in the South of England
To manage own time and workload; completing jobs within a set timescale whilst never comprising the quality of work
Reporting directly to the Service and Installation Manager regarding technical matters, daily work program and materials needed
Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed on site and signed off
Representing the company to the highest standard by wearing the correct uniform and PPE at all times on site
Working in accordance to the company's safety rules and procedures at all times
Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with key contacts by being friendly and professional
Maintaining stock and tools in the service van in a safe and tidy manner
Advising the client of any additional work required that would increase reliability or of any other services they may benefit from
Occasional tasks:
To provide support to other Service Engineers where two man working is required in other areas of the country
To attend the Head Office in Cumbria for relevant training or van stocktaking when requested
To support the Installation Engineer team when required
Any other relevant tasks reasonably requested from time to time
Essential criteria:
Candidates must be qualified to 17th Edition as a minimum
Driving license - A van will be provided for work use only
