Our client, an established Accountancy practice in Burnley, is looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Bureau Manager. The successful candidate will have practice experience, and will be looking for their next long term career move.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a pro-active team of accountants, already extremely well established but always looking at ways to develop the business. The successful candidate will take an active role in identifying opportunities to grow the client base.

The successful candidate will manage the payroll bureau service for over 300 payrolls, completing weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly cycles. Supporting the team to deliver an exceptional service to clients, ensuring team have appropriate training and support to undertake the required tasks. You will oversee the functions and processes of the bureau to ensure the company remain compliant and exceeding clients expectations.

You will maintain expert knowledge and proactively identify forthcoming changes that will impact payroll, not limited to RTI, pension, salary sacrifice and year end processes.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

* Experience of managing multiple payroll clients within a bureau environment (preferably in a General Practice Accountancy environment)
* Managing payroll processes and compliance with laws and regulations.
* Experience of using Microsoft packages, internet, e-mail and computerised packages.
* Experience of Superpay payroll systems is desirable, although not essential.
* A minimum of 5 years payroll bureau experience.
* Ability to complete P11D's an advantage.

The successful candidate will work 5 days per week, preferably full time hours, however, reduced hours will be considered for the right candidate.
