HealthTec Thames Valley Clinical Lead (0.5) Fixed Term- Aylesbury Coll
Job Purpose:
- To support the Manager to develop HealthTec Thames Valley at Aylesbury College.
- To develop and deliver a range of interactive, stimulating and inspiring activities for students, working closely with young people and adults who are currently unemployed, students, schools, colleges and local health and social care employer
- To provide Information, Advice and Guidance to users of the centre, to raise aspiration to progress into careers in Health and Social Care
- To undertake marketing and promotional activities to build future engagement and income from schools, colleges and other sources in order to build the sustainability of HealthTec Thames Valley to meet income targets and become self funding.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To provide an outstanding learning environment, which is stimulating, innovative and inspirational.
- To liaise closely with local and national employers in the sector to identify real time workforce priorities.
- To engage with Health Careers and integrate online and paper resources into activities.
- To support students in developing high quality skills in order that they can progress successfully to employment, further training and/or education.
- Work closely with "Champion Schools" and other external organisations and stakeholders to promote HealthTec activities and build commitment for attendance in 2018/2019 and beyond, ensuring an income stream to enable HealthTec to become financially self sufficient.
- Ensure an up to date evidence based knowledge of the project subject and associated and related areas.
- Organize own workload by making decisions as to how and when tasks need to be carried out and respond appropriately to unanticipated problems and situations.
- To evaluate activities and events in order to measure impact and identify ways to improve future interventions
- To ensure College systems and procedures are followed by all members of the HealthTec team, including risk assessments for the HealthTec Thames Valley activities
General
- Actively promote and market the College and present a positive image of the College and its activities both within and outside the College environment.
- Demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to the values of the NHS constitution
- Ensure the quality standards and performance measures applying to the work of HealthTec are met and facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the post.
- Carry out any duties at all times in accordance with the College's policies including Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Child Protection Policies.
- Incorporate into the role the philosophy, values and behaviour stated in the College mission and Strategic plan.
- Ensure the adherence and maintenance of the College's security and disciplinary procedures.
- Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade of the post, which the Principal or their senior management representative may from time to time require.
- Actively support the College policies on the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
