Gerrard McCall are currently recruiting on behalf of an educational Tour Operator, specialising in bespoke group travel. Providing a variety of educational travel experiences to students to destinations throughout the world.
The Travel Coordinator will work as part of the Operations team. This team is responsible for the successful booking, operation and management of international tours for student, performance and religious groups originating from the US and UK, ensuring all services meet quality and cost standards.
The Travel Coordinator will focus on the booking of hotels and travel in Europe and will hold the following areas of responsibilities:
• Work directly with the contracting team to assist with vendor selection and service rate negotiation for customised, catalogue, special events and other division programs.
• Assist with accurate and timely turnaround of pricing requests for customised itineraries.
• Collect and analyse on tour evaluation client feedback for applicable services.
• Make reservations/confirm services with appropriate vendors.
• Update databases with appropriate reservation information.
• Maintain deadlines and assist with producing department specific reports.
• Research new products for customised and catalogue programs.
• Assist with on-the-ground management of customised programs to include monitoring service feedback, re-confirming services, adjusting service times and dealing with last minute issues and changes.
• Work closely with Tour Directors, Regional Operations Managers and other team members assisting with on-tour program adjustments.
• On-call duty on a rotation with other staff members during busy travel periods.
• Review supplier final and deposit invoices for accuracy and processing within databases, working closely with our Finance team.
• Assist with season-ending financial and evaluation reporting.
