Excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer to join a well-established company based in Wirral!

The company is a family run business based in Wirral carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works for domestic and commercial premises across the North West.  We cover all aspects of building maintenance including heating, plumbing, drainage, electrical and general construction.

They are now currently seeking a Gas Engineer to join their growing team of engineers. 

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience covering domestic and commercial heating and plumbing systems. You should have a good electrical knowledge and knowledge of renewable energy, alternative energy and commercial catering would be a distinct advantage.

Whilst this position is hands on you will have to demonstrate an abilily to grow customer relations and help to expand the customer’s knowledge of our services and most of all the ability to learn and deal with other trades within the building service environment.  You should be comfortable with using a PDA to record all job activity and reports (in accordance with Gas Safety obligations) and be able to communicate effectively with our clients and office staff.

The role offers £14 per hour (Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with some out of hours work as and when required), 28 day’s holiday (including bank holidays), pension, full uniform, company van and mobile.

Essential qualifications

Gas – domestic + commercial

• Core Domestic Natural Gas CCN1
• Commercial core Nat gas COCN1
• Indirect fire commercial appliances CIGA1
• Direct fired appliances CDGA1
• Installation of Commercial Pipework ICPN1
• Tightness Testing & Purging (Large) TPCP1

Electrical – BS7671 or equivalent

Unvented systems – UHW10 or equivalent

Highly desirable qualifications

Full core commercial Catering CCCN1

Install, Commission and Service Gas Boosters BMP1

Commercial Meters Up To 40 Cubic Metres MET4

LPG Changeover CONGLP1/PD/RPH/B:
