Practice Director

A fantastic opportunity for a Practice Director has arisen at our client's Veterinary Hospital.

Based in beautiful North Norfolk with their main, purpose built hospital site in Fakenham and further sites in East Dereham and Swaffam, they provide first class veterinary services to patients and clients across the region.

Working as part of a management team that includes a senior vet and practice manager within their orthopaedic and ophthalmic referrals services, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth administration and running of their first opinion veterinary services.

In the role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Successfully managing a diverse team, consisting of both clinical and non-clinical employees.
• Initiating and driving business improvement activities that positively affect all 1st opinion patients & their owners and Grove employees.
• Owning the financial management of the group in areas such as budget management, pricing, debt management and CAPEX spend and, ultimately, ensuring the delivery of EBITDA to budget.
• Working with wider group colleagues to drive marketing and business development initiatives.
• Overseeing facilities and H&S management and compliance for the group.
• Building a culture of performance and talent development.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience managing or assistant managing a clinical environment such as a hospital/practice or multiple sites. This can have been gained in veterinary, medical, dental or similarly related sectors.
• Knowledge and experience of managing and balancing accounts – such as invoicing and P&L review.
• A proven record of managing and developing others.
• Experience of managing and implementing business and process improvements.
• A passion for delivering the best possible service, support & outcomes for patients, customers and colleagues.
