Job Title: Customer Deficit Advisor
Salary of £19,000 - £21,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: ASAP

Customer Deficit Advisor Role: The successful Customer Deficit Advisor will be responsible for speaking to customers who have deficit on their Energy accounts in order to increase their monthly payments to cover the shortfall. Targeted and based in a call centre environment, you will be working to understand details of their personal and financial circumstances and agree affordable and realistic repayment.
Customer Deficit Advisor Responsibilities Include:
- Have open and honest conversations with customers about their financial circumstances
- Suggest and recommend appropriate plans to cover the monthly bills plus the accrued shortfall
- Ensuring that the best possible customer service is given throughout
- Liaise with customer services, Finance, Operations and Billing departments to resolve queries and ensure bills are accurate
- Ensure prompt payment is received through effective customer communication
- Investigate and resolve queries relating to under payments of direct debits
- Maintaining accurate records of client contact
- Seek to improve the process (automated or manual tasks) and introduce efficiencies where possible
As a Customer Deficit Advisor, you will need:
- Demonstrable track record in consumer collections, dealing with high volume domestic customers
- To be results driven and solution focused
- Excellent objection handling skills
- Have empathy and be able to communicate in a confident and articulate manner
Desirable Attributes:
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft office skills
- A proactive and analytical approach to work
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- To be confident with proactive telephony, objection handling where necessary
- Have a high standard of numeracy and accuracy with attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
