Our Care Assistants are probably the most vital members of our team.
This is an incredibly special role - it is a privilege to be so
involved in the lives of the people we support.
As a Carer, you will be involved in supporting the daily activities
of our residents in a person-centred manner; promoting their dignity,
independence and well-being, and becoming an integral part of their lives.
No experience is necessary as you will be fully trained.
However, while we can teach you most things, we cannot teach
you compassion, and so this is the one essential requirement for
this role. Our Carers are dedicated, have a genuine
interest in the people for whom they care, and - above all - are
naturally kind and warm-hearted.
At Barchester, you'll have the opportunity to develop your career
through our vocational training opportunities to ensure you feel
confident in all aspects of your role. We will look after you so that
you can take the best possible care of the folk whom we support. And
there is no limit to how far you can go - many of our Carers take
advantageous of our career development opportunities, and several have
gone on to progress into management.
Please note: this is a BANK position to provide cover as and
when required; eg for planned absence such as annual leave, or
unplanned absence such as sick leave. The hours and days will vary accordingly.
