A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well respected and established company specialising in the manufacture and supply of a variety of steel and plastic industrial packaging items. Based in Glasgow, the successful Maintenance Engineer will ideally come from a manufacturing background and will earn a negotiable salary, depending on experience.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be results focused, hardworking and driven. As part of an established engineering team, reporting to the Works Manager, the main Responsibilities include:
  • Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance on plant, equipment and services
  • Provide rapid fault finding and issue resolution support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Carrying out repairs and modifications to plant, equipment and service
  • Ensure Quality systems are followed and continuously improved
  • General facilities maintenance within the factory
  • Support and deliver projects to upgrade and install new equipment and services
  • Liaising with sub-contractors
  • Online ordering for parts and materials
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of process and equipment efficiency and effectiveness
The successful Maintenance Engineer will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Engineering experience.
  • Hands on experience of manufacturing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical control systems
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and electronically
  • Milling, turning and basic electrical experience preferred.
