THE COMPANY: Our client are a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care, our client is there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when life comes full circle.
They also pioneer standards in end of life care through collaboration, research and training, reaching even more people facing death and bereavement.
Rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, our client's are recognised locally as the leading experts in palliative care, delivering personalised care in the community.
With growing demand for our client's services AND with a possible new build on the horizon, they are looking for dynamic individuals to join their volunteer Board of Trustees.
They are hosting two upcoming Open Events as an opportunity to introduce you to the important work they do, to meet their current Trustees and Hospice managers and to find out more about what's involved.
THE ROLE: As a Trustee for our client in Crawley, West Sussex you will work as part of a board of Trustees to ensure the values of the organisation are upheld and act as an ambassador representing the organisation at functions, events and supporting with fundraising activities as well as raising general awareness. You will take part in formulating and regularly reviewing the strategic aims of the charity and by working with other trustees will ensure that the policy and practices of the charity are in keeping with its aims, the charity operates within the legal, financial and regulatory requirements of a charitable organisation, and strives to achieve best practice.
THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Trustee out client is looking for a caring and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, and someone who is strategic and has a good understanding of governance. You should be committed to continually developing best practices, be able to take a diplomatic approach to situations and be someone who can influence through personal credibility.
