Financial Services Manager
£53,805 to £60,551 + Excellent Benefits
36.5 hours per week
The company is comprised of the twelve local authorities and three Local Enterprise Partnerships working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands and our locally elected politicians, who know this region best. Individual councils will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.
Reporting to the Head of Finance as the Financial Services Manager you will lead the delivery of best practice of Financial Services to the Combined Authority through managing, monitoring and reporting plans and performance, delivering effective forward planning, key financial services and statutory reporting and compliance.
The scope of the role is to:
*?Ensure delivery of effective planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting in accordance with governance and statutory requirements.
*?Ensure high standard of financial management and control.
*?Ensure effective business partner support for Combined Authority operations ensuring value for money and financial advice to guide management towards business change and effective decision making.
*?Ensure the integrity, accuracy and efficient processing of financial information within the financial system and plan and deliver developments in the financial system.
*?Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting codes of practice and statutory regulations.
You will be a current full and qualified CCAB or CIMA member with specific expertise in financial management and a proven track record of managing and developing teams along with experience of developing strategic and operational business plans.
