The Role
As a Purchasing Assistant, you’ll provide a high-quality administration service to the Purchasing Department.
In this important role, you’ll enable our client to continue making ground-breaking products by ensuring that all component parts are delivered on time.
Specifically, you will:
- Manage the supply chain system on a day-to-day basis
- Make sure that orders to suppliers are acknowledged in a timely manner
- Chase up any suppliers who are late with deliveries
- Continuously seek to improve the delivery of products
- Inform Engineering Buyers and Supply Chain Manager of any potential shortages
- Identify ways to improve departmental processes
About You
To be considered, you will need:
- Administration experience
- Purchasing experience
- Great communication skills
- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong team-working skills
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a manufacturing department, but this is by no means essential.
Other job titles you may have held could include Purchasing Administrator, Administrator, Admin Assistant or Purchasing Co-ordinator.
Our client is also interested in hearing from candidates who have previously worked as a Procurement Assistant, Procurement Administrator or Supply Chain Administrator.
