My client a leading energy provider is looking to engage a Service Delivery SME - Telecoms to join them until the end of June 2018. The Service Delivery SME - Telecoms will be responsible for managing the operational delivery relationships with outsourced service providers as well as internal customers. They will be the company's subject matter expert in Telecoms. The SME of Telecoms Service Delivery will manage the supplier to deliver and support the service levels and underlying IT infrastructure to budget and will liaise with all parts of the business to understand and support the delivery of IT requirements.
Deliverables:
*Nature and Scope
* Work closely to support the Manager of Telecoms Service Delivery with the relationship and stakeholder management across the business and with the Service Provider(s);
* Build robust relationships with the business and with key partners to successfully meet commercial and business goals;
* Ensure compliance with architectural standards and framework;
* Work to ensure optimal value and service across IT Operations;
* The job holder will be required to be placed on the on-call rota and must be willing to travel.
*Principal Accountabilities
* Manage Telecoms hardware, software and Telecoms solution design and ensure Service Provider(s) compliance with relevant architecture and quality standards;
* Ensure delivery of Telecoms hardware, software and Telecoms in support of business projects in line with customer expectations, timescales and budget;
* Manage critical problems and high impact changes by liaising with the business and manage the performance of Telecoms services, as well as the Service Provider(s) and address any issues of underperformance and manage these to resolution;
* Work closely with suppliers to identify and implement performance improvement in the delivery of the Telecoms services and ensure value for money;
* Manage the 3rd party supplier to ensure they are compliant with all aspect of CIO;
* Support transformational changes in the IT infrastructure team and challenge the day-to-day activities and processes to deliver continuous improvement;
* Provide Telecoms SME support of retained contracts from a technical view point;
* Satisfy the distinct requirements of each business unit whilst optimizing the IT infrastructure across CIO.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experienced Expert in Data Networking (Cisco and ideally also Nortel WAN/LAN/WLAN) and Voice Networking with Siemens/Unify iSDX & HiPath 4k enterprise telephony as well as Enterprise Voice deployment of Microsoft Lync 2013 Unified Communications solutions
* Experience of delivering Telecoms services in a high security or restricted environment (e.g. IL3) & ideally Security cleared (SC);
* Educated to degree level or equivalent;
* Experience in a technical assurance role;
* Experience in performance and quality management of a Service Provider(s);
* Practice in defining and delivering performance improvement ;
* Experience in performance, capacity and availability management;
* Experience in drafting and monitoring compliance of standards;
* Practice in defining and delivering performance improvement to ITIL standards;
* Good commercial acumen and experience of delivering value for money from Service Provider(s);
* Strong technical consulting and advisory skills (eg, developed to provide assistance and guidance in the designing, evaluating and selecting of solutions);
* Capable of leading discussion on design issues, and delivering sound decisions, based upon consensus and the application of architectural and quality standards and best practice;
* Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders;
* Strong industry knowledge and relationships;
* Track record of delivering change to organisational processes;
* Well developed awareness and understanding of service models, technology and strategic direction;
* Strong Financial acumen, effective at planning, budgeting and with a strong commercial understanding.
