Excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established company based in Manchester!

They provide extensive range of services and products including Control panel and MCC manufacture, Electrical and Mechanical System Design, Certified Hazardous Area Designs, PLC and SCADA programming, Certified Electrical and Mechanical Installations, Full Commissioning Services and Project Management.
Role
The company is now looking for experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Engineers for foundry / machine shop environment to work a 38 hour 3 shift work pattern (rotating) of 5 mornings (6am to 2pm) 5 afternoons )2pm to 10pm) and 4 nights (10pm to 6am).
The factory is predominantly a foundry site specialising in the production of specialised alloys using gas fired melting furnaces and ingot casting machines but also has a number of machine shops with lathes and milling machines etc., extrusion press departments with billet handling equipment and conveyors and saws, heat treatment ovens as well as lifting equipment /overhead cranes and also some Specialised Testing Laboratories.
Candidate Requirements (it is understood that all these might not be possible)
- Hands on electrically (biased)
- Fault finding ability (breakdown situations)
- PLC experience would be an advantage (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
- Hydraulics / Pneumatics experience useful
- Overhead crane experience (up to 10 tonne)
- Instrumentation and temperature control of gas fired furnaces
- Knowledge of natural gas burner systems
- Small panel building experience would be systems
- Small panel building experience would be useful
- Some general mechanical experience would be useful
In return the company offers a competitive base salary Circa £35,000 per annum.
