Do you possess an aptitude for interpreting scientific data and the attention to detail required to identify inconsistencies? Spandidos Publication are actively searching for just such an individual to fill the position of Scientific Editor. The role involves checking and clarifying data accepted for publication, and copy-editing articles according to the in-house journal style. Strong interpersonal skills are required, as candidates will be required to collaborate with both the scientific community and internal production team to maintain the high standards of the journals.

The minimum qualification required is a PhD in the biological sciences, with additional postdoctoral or other experience preferred. While a high level of computer literacy is essential, knowledge of Mac OS and Indesign would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent written English skills and strong organizational and time-management capabilities. Prior editorial or publishing experience is desirable, but not essential, as training in copy-editing will be provided to suitable candidates.
