Sales Manager - Concrete Lintels / Fencing Posts

Area to be covered: South West inc: Gloucestershire & Herefordshire and South Wales
Remuneration: GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 + 10% of Basic Salary Bonus
Benefits: Car Allowance, Pension, Mobile, Laptop
The role of the Area Sales Manager - Concrete Lintels / Fencing Posts will involve:
• Selling a range of pre cast concrete lintels, fence posts and concrete tbeams
• Generating business via national and independent merchants and generating business via buying groups
• Working with the merchant sales team to generate business and educating them on the products
• Also generating business from contractors such as large fencing contractors
• Initial target of approximately GBP1million per annum with a view to generating year on year growth
• Dealing with average annual spends from merchants of approximately GBP20-GBP50k per annum plus
• Approximately 80% of your time will be spent generating new business relationships whilst utilising existing relationships in place from the already developed precast products divisions
• Remaining 20% of your time will be spent managing and expanding existing relationships
• Updating the CRM system and utilising Barbour ABI leads
• Covering a territory which will incorporate the whole of the South East territory based ideally from a central location
The ideal applicant will be Area Sales Manager - Concrete Lintels / Fencing Posts with:
• Must have a demonstrable track record of selling to National / Independent merchants or working for a merchant in a field based external sales position
• Ideally experience of generating relationships with merchant buying groups
• Related product experience such as concrete / steel lintels, tbeams fencing posts or heavyside building materials such as landscaping, roofing, insulation products ideal but not essential
• Capable of hitting the ground running and generating new business relationships with merchants
• Tenacious, hungry and ambitious personality
