Transport Team Leader
Based in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary circa £38,000 + Excellent Benefits

The UK's leading and best-known food-on-the-go retailer are currently looking to recruit an experienced Transport Team Leader at their production facility in Gosforth, just outside Newcastle. The role would be on a 3 week rotating shift pattern, 45 hours per week, and you would take responsibility for the day to day transport operation ensuring all aspects run smoothly and in accordance with food and health & safety requirements.

The Role
o Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in full
o Carry out team briefings and daily de-brief
o Monitor team behaviour and performance and deal with any issues
o Set and monitor team targets and objectives
o Lead by example with regards to company values

The Candidate
The ideal candidate must have experience supervising a team within a temperature controlled delivery operation. Class C licence is essential, as is flexibility on working hours, plus good IT skills. The role will suit a confident and results driven individual with excellent communication skills, able to liaise and influence at all levels, plus strong organisational, planning, and problem solving skills.
