My client is one of the leading independent transport companies in Southern England due to their commitment to providing quality services to businesses and to the public. A very well established and respectable business with 3 locations in Hampshire.

We currently have a vacancy for an Sales Office Manager / Customer Service Manager at the Head Office based on the outskirts of Fareham.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a sales office for inbound calls and outbound courtesy calls and excels in managing a team of sales advisers and customer service advisors.

Responsibilities

- to fully understand and review the current operational systems within the Sales & customer service office, make recommendations, and then implement change
- recruit, lead, mentor, train, and manage the sales and customer service staff
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Enhancing and improving the customer experience.
- Developing the team through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Driving forward continuous improvement to achieve excellent customer service, including improving customer communication.
- Reviewing and improving the order taking process, ie the flow, data capture, implementation of paperless order process, up-selling, etc.
- good commercial awareness
- experience of working within a busy and fast paced environment
